Welcome to Blue Mountains Cancer Help
We are a locally based organisation established to provide support for local residents who have been diagnosed with cancer. Blue Mountains Cancer Help is funded through our Op-Shop, fund raising, bequests and donations.
Services provided include:
COMPLEMENTARY THERAPIES
Massage, Reflexology, Reiki, Art and Music Therapy, Meditiation and Counselling.
SUPPORT GROUPS
Held on a regular basis for clients and their carers, each group is facilitated by a trained counsellor and registered nurse. All members are welcome to attend any of the Support Groups. A gold coin donation is requested.
BUDDY SYSTEM
A special volunteer assigned to a particluar individual or family.
ASSISTANCE WITH TRANSPORT
For medical appointments as required in conjunction with Great Community Transport.
OP-SHOP
Visit or donate to our Op-Shop at Unit 2/27 Whitton Street, Katoomba.
Mon-Fri 10am-4pm, Sat 10am-2pm
VOLUNTEERS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME
Volunteer training provided.

Cancer Healing and Wellbeing Program
12 Week Self-Help program by The Gawler Foundation
Starts Friday 11th September Bookings essential
Developed and written by Ian Gawler, this acclaimed cancer self-help program for healing is to be held in the Blue Mountains. Robyn Yates & Claire McHalick are endorsed by The Gawler Foundation Inc. to present this Program.

A new support group in the Lower Mountains for BMCH members
Find understanding and peace whilst living with cancer. The group, at Glenbrook, will focus on the teachings of A Course in Miracles and will discuss common issues relating to cancer.

Come along and meet counsellor Helena Hinden. Helena has many years experience with cancer groups including participating in regular programs at Quest for Life Centre, Bundanoon.

Craft Afternoon
For women who have experienced cancer. Join our informal, creative gathering. Bring your own craft to work on, or, work on a group project.
EVERY SECOND THURSDAY 1pm - 3pm. Contact BMCH Office for dates.
NEW Music Therapy
Every month, Saturday afternoons 1:30 - 3:30pm.
Next session is Saturday, 29th November 2009. Enjoyment and creativity with others whilst reflecting on health or realtionships etc. Please see details in the Complementary Therapies section of this website.
