Elsebeth’s bio

Elsebeth Perry-Petersen has 32 years experience in teaching, and 17 years experience as a Remedial Massage/Lymphoedema therapist.

In 1993, Elsebeth’s interests in manual lymphatic drainage led her to specialise in working with dysfunctions of the lymphatic system. She attended the Lymphoedema Association of Australia’s course in Complex Lymphatic Therapy for the Management of Lymphoedema (CLT). After 12 years in the field, Dr Judith Casley-Smith granted Elsebeth permission to train as an instructor of the Casley-Smith method of CLT. This method is currently taught and recognised by major associations in the UK, USA, Israel and Holland.

In 2006, Elsebeth began holding CLT classes, successfully teaching massage therapists, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and other allied health professionals in the Casley-Smith method.

In July 2010, the Australasian Lymphology Association announced that graduates of the Casley-Smith method of CLT would qualify to be listed as therapists on the newly formed National Lymphoedema Practitioner Register.

Elsebeth has written articles for industry journals, spoken at conferences, is a graduate of the Földi Klinik in Hinterzarten, Germany and currently practices in Canberra, and in the Southern Highlands of NSW.
